Community Standards
Version 1 · in force since 29 September 2026
These standards say how we treat each other on the platform and what the rooms must not be used for. They apply to renters and hosts alike and are part of the Terms of Service. We enforce only rules published here in advance.
1. For everyone
- Be honest. Give true information about yourself, your business, your room and your booking.
- Be respectful. No harassment, threats, hate speech or discrimination — in messages, reviews, listings or in the room.
- Keep it safe. Don't put people or the building at risk. Follow the host's safety instructions.
- Keep it on the platform. Book and pay through the platform, including paid extras such as an engineer's overtime, parking or gear. Don't try to swap contact details before a booking is confirmed, and don't try to get around the automatic hiding of contact details.
- Respect privacy. Use other people's details only for the booking they were shared for.
2. Renters
- Use the room for the activity you booked, and bring no more people than you told us and the room allows.
- Arrive and leave on time. Setting up and packing up are part of your booked time, and the next booking may start right after yours.
- Follow the house rules — for example about alcohol, food and smoking — and leave the room as you found it.
- Tell the host about damage straight away.
- Respect neighbours and quiet hours.
- Don't sublet or resell your booking.
- Don't recruit the host's members or clients during your booking, unless the host allows it.
- You need the rights to anything you record or stream in the room. No streams of hateful, sexual or illegal content.
3. Hosts
- Describe your room truthfully and keep your calendar up to date.
- Honour your bookings and give access details that work.
- Have the room ready, clean and safe at the start of every booking.
- Treat every renter the same, whatever their origin, religion, gender, sexual orientation, disability or age.
- Don't make access depend on an outside account or app unless there is a legal reason you disclose up front. Optional apps (for a smart lock or the sound system, for example) are fine.
- Don't collect renters' data beyond what the booking needs, and don't contact, market to or keep the contact details of a renter's clients or attendees.
- Recordings on your in-room systems may be accessed only for technical support, at the renter's request, and every access must be logged.
4. Never allowed
- Anything illegal.
- Events open to the public.
- Weapons.
- Sexual services.
- Selling alcohol commercially without a licence.
5. Reviews
Reviews must describe your own experience of the booking. We remove a review only if it:
- has nothing to do with the booking;
- comes from a conflict of interest, such as a competitor or a relative;
- was bought, offered for a favour or obtained by pressure;
- is retaliation for the other person's review;
- is discriminatory;
- contains threats;
- reveals private information.
A low rating on its own is never a reason to remove a review. We may add a short public note to a review instead of removing it.
6. Reporting
- A conversation: use "Report" in the conversation — for harassment, scams, attempts to deal outside the platform, discrimination, spam or anything else. The other person is not told.
- A review: use "Report" next to it.
- A problem at the room: report it in your booking once your access details are released, up to the end of the booking.
- Anything else, including illegal content: write to contact@cogitocode.ro. Tell us where it is (a link), why you think it breaks the rules or the law, and your name and email address, and confirm that your report is accurate and made in good faith.
7. What we do
- Contact details in messages are hidden automatically until a booking is confirmed.
- We review reports and decide in proportion to what happened: we may remove content, add a note, pause or suspend a listing, limit features, or suspend or close an account.
- When we take a measure against you, we tell you our reasons and how to contest the decision, unless the law stops us. Anyone affected can contest a decision within 6 months by replying to our message or writing to contact@cogitocode.ro. A person not involved in the first decision reviews it, and we reply with reasons. You can also go to court and, where available, to an out-of-court dispute settlement body certified under Art. 21 DSA.
- If we suspect a crime that threatens someone's life or safety, we inform the authorities.
